Chapter 902 - 928: Irreplaceable (6)
"Just a martial arts, historical comedy," Mia Ginger said, pursing her lips. "It doesn’t necessarily have to be a TV drama, a movie is fine too, and those web series or whatever. I just feel pretty confident about this story myself. Don’t feel pressured to praise me. If it works, it works. If not, no pressure. How does that sound?"
Bradley Cooper was amused by her tone and asked curiously, "Why so suddenly proactive?"
"I think the editor is right; it’s better to develop in multiple areas."
"True." Bradley Cooper nodded in agreement and straightforwardly said, "Send me the electronic version later to my email; I’ll find a few directors to take a look."
"Thanks, Uncle!" Mia Ginger smiled.
Bradley Cooper raised his hand to ruffle her hair, his care and affection evident.
——
With this matter solved, Mia Ginger was naturally pleased.
She chatted cheerfully with Aurora Cooper and Bradley Cooper for a while, when Koa Jackson returned.
Aurora invited him to stay for dinner.
After dinner—
Koa Jackson checked Mia Ginger’s foot injury, his brows furrowing instantly.
Mia Ginger sat on the sofa watching him, an expression of mild appeasement on her face. "I walked a bit more today."
"Oh, then you shouldn’t bother with feet anymore," Koa Jackson glanced at her.
Mia Ginger: "..."
After a while, she muttered softly, "I really didn’t mean it."
"If you keep neglecting yourself like this, I won’t care if something happens in the future," Koa Jackson said, while applying medicine for her, his face stern, exuding an aura of intimidating authority.
Mia Ginger knew he was right and obediently listened to his reprimand.
In no time—
Koa Jackson finished bandaging her up, saying he’ll take her to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up and an X-ray.
Mia Ginger’s ankle was swollen like a radish, and Aurora Cooper naturally agreed.
Seeing it was getting late, the two did not linger at Cooper Manor. Since Mia Ginger was not very mobile, Koa Jackson carried her back.
The streetlights outside were already lit.
The night sky was ink blue, with sparse stars beginning to show.
Quiet and beautiful.
Mia Ginger wrapped her arms around Koa Jackson’s neck and softly asked, "Is Odin okay?"
"Not life-threatening."
"I heard from Caiden Ward that his right foot is comminuted fracture."
"Yeah."
"Will he be disabled?"
"Probably."
Mia Ginger glanced at him and sighed, "Hope he’s alright."
"Don’t worry too much," Koa Jackson said as he carried her inside, greeted Aunt Lee and Uncle Lewis, then headed straight to their room.
Mia Ginger was hindered, so Koa Jackson helped her freshen up first, then went for his shower.
Upon returning, it was already ten at night.
The bed was a soft, fluffy mound, Mia Ginger had already fallen asleep.
Curled up like a little cat.
Koa Jackson looked at her, his heart suddenly softening. He left the bedside lamp on, got into bed, and held her as he slept.
Mia Ginger’s hands burrowed into his robe.
