Chapter 1864 - 1029: Reversed Generations_2
Hu Jun sighed. "Forget it, there’s no talking sense into you. If I get the chance, I’ll definitely lecture your sister. She can’t keep spoiling you like this."
Xiao Shaoxiong had just been crit-hit by Tang Jing, and now he heard this. A nameless fire flared up inside!
He opened his mouth and blurted, "18226..."
Hu Jun: "What’s that supposed to mean?"
Xiao Shaoxiong’s face went dark as iron. He sneered, "My sister’s WeChat. You tell her yourself!"
After dropping that line, Xiao Shaoxiong walked off directly, too lazy to waste more breath!
Hu Jun silently recited the string of numbers, then pulled out his phone. He added her with this friend request note: "Hi, sis, I’m Xiao Shaoxiong’s classmate!"
Tang Jing was puzzled. What was he trying to do?
Nosy to this degree?
Xiao Shaoxiong went back to class and happened to run into Lu Qiqi.
Lu Qiqi: "Hey, when are you paying Zhang Zhang’s medical bills?"
Xiao Shaoxiong found her an eyesore. "I’m about to have money."
...
Two days flew by. April 10th, Friday.
The last period in the morning was PE. As soon as the Chinese teacher left, everyone started heading to the track in little groups.
The classroom gradually emptied out. Liu Chuandao saw Yin Yu sitting quietly there and felt she was sinfully sweet.
So Liu Chuandao leaned his back against a desk, striking a cool idol-drama pose. "Yin Yu, wanna go watch a movie tonight?"
Any new pretty girl in Class Eight had to get harassed by him. Yin Yu was honestly pretty fed up with it now.
He annoyed her so much she wished she could cut his head off and use it as a soccer ball, but sadly, in reality she had to maintain that sweet little shell.
She blinked her pure eyes, as innocent as a little white flower, and her voice was just as sweet. "Can’t~ Before that kind of thing, I need to meet your mom first."
Liu Chuandao waved his hands excitedly. "No need for my mom’s permission, my house, I call the shots!"
He slapped his chest like a gorilla in a mating dance.
Yin Yu was about to say more when, at the classroom door, Tan Meiling in a sexy crop top waved. "Yu Yu, c’mon, let’s go, let’s go!"
So Yin Yu left from the other side.
Leaving Liu Chuandao basking in joy: "She actually wants to meet my parents?"
Yin Yu got to the door and Tan Meiling immediately linked arms with her. They’d only known each other a few years, but feelings between girls can’t be judged by common sense.
Yin Yu: "There’s a new DQ ice cream shop downtown. Wanna go after school this afternoon?"
Tan Meiling was delighted at first, then said regretfully, "Can’t."
Yin Yu: "You don’t like ice cream?"
Tan Meiling: "The national tide’s here these days, I can’t eat it."
Yin Yu obviously didn’t get it. Tan Meiling quietly explained a line, and then Yin Yu realized—she meant her period.
Her expression went off for a second, then she smiled sweetly. "Oh, I see."
Tan Meiling gave a few shy laughs.
She just didn’t notice that a fleeting shadow flashed through Yin Yu’s eyes.
...
PE class.
Gu Wei led everyone in three laps, then kept back the talenteds like Pang Jiao, Dan Kaiquan, Zhang Chi and a few others for targeted special training to prepare for the Three-City Sports Meet.
The rest of the students were dismissed.
Liu Chuandao bragged to his bros. "Hey, when your bro gets things done in the future, you guys coming to bring gifts?"
Cui Yu: "Brother Dao, don’t scare me. We’re not even married yet, how are we already dying off?"
Liu Chuandao had been roasted by him so often his tolerance had improved. His brain auto-filtered that and he said cheerfully, "Yin Yu’s planning to meet my folks!"
Everyone froze.
Duan Shigang was the first to call bullshit, Guo Kunnan the second. The two of them pressed him for the truth.
So Liu Chuandao repeated exactly what Yin Yu had said.
Wang Longlong had been posting on Tieba when he heard this. His expression went weird. "Bro, there’s something I don’t know if I should say or not."
Liu Chuandao’s face tightened and he rushed to cut him off. "Shut up!"
But Wang Longlong still said it: "What Yin Yu meant was probably ’go see your mom.’"
Liu Chuandao was in agony.
But very soon, he wasn’t in agony anymore.
On the soccer field, a tall, lithe figure like a mother leopard ran to the ball and swung a leg. She hammered a shot out that screamed toward the goal.
A chorus of gasps rose up.
Tang Fu stood there with hands on hips, those long pretty legs of hers curving in perfect lines. Who would’ve thought they could explode with that kind of power?
Xue Yuantong lowered her little face, ashamed of herself, staring at the pointed tips of Tang Fu’s shoes, pink graffiti embroidered along the sides, delicate and dainty.
Liu Chuandao yelled, "Tang Fu, I wanna get kicked by you!"
Tang Fu was sprinting back and forth across the green field, her body seeming to hold endless energy to burn.
Xue Yuantong mustered up her courage. "She runs like that, her feet must reek. It’s an eyesore."
Her voice was small, but everyone around heard it.
Cui Yu swallowed, practically drooling. "If they didn’t stink I wouldn’t like it!"
Yu Wen pinched her nose. "My god, Jiang Yanan, someone like that actually likes you!"
Jiang Yanan: "What am I supposed to do about it?"
It wasn’t just Cui Yu—Liu Chuandao, Duan Shigang... even the new guy Xiao Shaoxiong and even Zhong Huai—she felt like none of the looks they gave her were pure.
Jiang Yanan was exhausted. She wasn’t even that pretty.
...
The crowd’s praise for Tang Fu startled Xue Yuantong.
She somehow found a soccer ball, then ran with her slim little legs and kicked it with her tiny shoe. Because of inertia she even stumbled a half step forward.
Chen Siyu clapped right away. "Awesome, seriously awesome. I think Red Bull should sponsor you."
Bai Yuxia: "If you keep this up, you’re gonna start sweating."
PE teacher Gu Wei noticed. He knew Xue Yuantong was Fourth Middle School’s town-sealing treasure, so he hurried to stop her. "That kind of move is dangerous. Never do it again."
Xue Yuantong’s soccer dream shattered.
Jiang Ning was also out on the field playing. He’d liked soccer in his last life too, but back then Fourth Middle School’s sports scene was pretty mediocre. Now that Principal Yu was pushing hard on soccer, Jiang Ning finally had plenty of people to play with.
With his Physical fitness, saving the nation’s soccer scene would be no problem at all. Unfortunately, the soccer scene wasn’t worth saving.
Jiang Ning lashed out with a kick. The ball shot off with a "thump." Zhao Jinyang from the school team ran over to intercept, only to see the ball bizarrely bend in midair, drawing a beautiful curve around him.
He skidded to a stop and suddenly realized: Jiang Ning had just kicked a "banana shot."
By the time he snapped out of it, Jiang Ning had already turned away, showing no intention of celebrating at all.
From a distance, Jiang Ning saw Tongtong playing around with Chen Siyu and the others. He didn’t disturb them and instead headed toward the ping-pong tables.
Halfway there, Yin Yu walked up with a fake smile. "Jiang Ning, didn’t expect you to be good at soccer too."
Jiang Ning glanced at the paddle in her hand. "Didn’t expect you to play ping-pong."
Yin Yu’s smile thinned. "My dad likes ping-pong. I’ve been influenced since I was little."
"Wanna play a few rounds?" She actually took the initiative to invite him.
Jiang Ning did find it a bit interesting. This girl had taken a few hits from him already and could still act like nothing happened. You had to admit, that was a kind of skill too.
Too bad: body disabled, mind twisted.
"Afraid not. I promised Yang Sheng I’d play with her." Jiang Ning turned her down.
As soon as Yin Yu thought of the short-haired girl, her expression froze for a second. She remembered the bet last time about Xiao Shaoxiong throwing out the trash—only that waste of space actually lost.
Yang Sheng had auctioned her off in public. Utter humiliation.
Jiang Ning changed the subject. "Yang Sheng’s addicted to ping-pong. If you like playing, you can help cure her addiction."
Yin Yu smiled sweetly. "Sure."
She agreed, but acted very cautious. She decided that once she got to the tables, she’d observe Yang Sheng’s game first, then make a move and teach that short-haired girl a lesson.
Jiang Ning saw she was still wearing the mask. He suddenly wanted to see what she looked like when she lost her cool.
So Jiang Ning quietly stirred his Divine Sense, slipping it unseen into his pocket and lighting up his screen: "The Jade (fish) is here, time to start the act."
