Journey to the West: Starting with the Hunting of the Three Demons of Twin Fork Ridge

Chapter 9 Tiger Fights Buffalo

Chapter 9 Tiger Fights Buffalo

Inside the Peeling Pavilion.

Although General Yin was struck by Venus's cane, his life was not in danger; he only suffered some internal injuries.

He was unconscious for a while before he woke up, leaning against a pillar, panting heavily.

"Damn it, Grandpa's had the worst luck in eight lifetimes!" General Yin cursed, rubbing his chest. "Three people were arrested, one escaped, and the remaining monk even got me beaten. That damned monk, that plague-ridden old man, if I'd known you had this background, I wouldn't have even touched you."

General Yin was filled with resentment at this moment. Venus's cane had nearly killed him. It was truly powerful.

Just then, a person suddenly entered from outside the cave.

General Yin looked in the direction of the voice and saw that it was none other than Li Fa.

Upon seeing Li Fa, General Yin was so angry that he spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling as if the place where he had been hit earlier was even more painful.

He endured the excruciating pain and cursed at Li Fa: "Lu Kunkun, you murderous bastard! I ordered you to search the mountain, how dare you return?! This calamity I suffered is all because of you, you jinx!!"

Li Fa's heart tightened, and he immediately fell to the ground, tears streaming down his face, saying, "Your Majesty... Your Majesty has truly wronged me! I... I returned because I have something of utmost importance to report to Your Majesty!"

"Important matter?" General Yin panted, scolding, "What important matter could you possibly have? Have you found that escaped two-legged sheep? Or has that plague-ridden old man returned?!"

"No...no!" Li Fa shook his head repeatedly, then approached General Yin and whispered, "When I was searching the mountain just now, I saw a figure sneaking away from the group. I was suspicious, so I followed him and ended up in the territory of the Special Envoy King."

"Hmm?" General Yin frowned. "That old wild ox?"

"Exactly," Li Fa continued, "That fellow went into the Special Envoy's cave, which is very suspicious. I secretly followed him and overheard his conversation with the Special Envoy from outside the cave."

General Yin's eyes narrowed, and he asked, "What did he say?"

"I was afraid of being discovered, so I didn't dare to get too close and didn't hear very clearly. I only heard them saying things like 'Kill the tiger,' 'Gather the troops,' and 'Seize the Skinning Pavilion.' I was terrified, so I rushed back to report to the king."

"Damn you, old ox!" General Yin roared in fury. "I'm not dead yet!"

But then he calmed down and suddenly asked, "Do you have any evidence?"

"Of course!" Li Fa took out the token that the Special Envoy had given him from his pocket and said, "The Special Envoy sent that scoundrel back with the token to contact my brothers in the cave, but I intercepted him halfway. I have the token as proof."

General Yin took the token, examined it for a moment, and said, "This is indeed that scoundrel's token. Kun Kun, you did a good job."

"It's all thanks to Your Majesty's guidance!" Li Fa hurriedly bowed and said.

"You're too modest. Help me up," General Yin said, waving his hand.

Li Fa replied, "Since Your Majesty is seriously injured, why the rush to get up?"

General Yin, puzzled, asked, "What do you mean?"

Li Fa chuckled and said, "Why not turn the tables on him? If Master Te really leads his troops here, he will surely come to harm Your Majesty in person. Your Majesty can pretend to be unconscious, but in reality, be on high alert at all times. When that wild ox gets close, we can launch a surprise attack on him. If we kill this scoundrel, his troops will be defeated on their own. Even if we can't kill him, we can still make him retreat, allowing us to deal with him another day."

General Yin was overjoyed upon hearing this and said, "What a brilliant plan! If this plan succeeds, you will become the chief steward of my Skinning Pavilion!"

Li Fa said, "Thank you for your guidance, Your Majesty. Please take your seat."

General Yin nodded and said no more.

He took a deep breath, slightly aggravated his injuries, and then collapsed.

Then he adjusted his posture, making his whole body appear limp, tilting his head to the side, and closing his eyes tightly, truly giving the impression of someone severely injured, on the verge of death, and unconscious.

Seeing this, Li Fa ordered the remaining demons in the cave to lie in ambush, while he himself squatted behind the cave entrance, waiting for the arrival of the Special Envoy.

In less than half an hour, a series of hurried footsteps could be heard outside the cave.

Li Fa opened the door directly and, sure enough, saw Special Envoy outside holding a mixed iron rod, leading the way.

Behind him followed a hundred or so small monsters, each wielding a sharp blade; they were mostly cattle, horses, deer, and elk.

Instead of rushing into the cave, Director Te asked, "How is it?"

Li Fa nodded and said in a low voice, "It's all done. More than half of the people from the Skinning Pavilion have been sent out to search the mountains. There are a few left, but I've subdued them and taken them to the back room. There's only Tiger here."

The special official asked, "How is the tiger?"

Li Fa said, "He just coughed up blood again, his injuries are even worse, and he's still unconscious!"

Upon hearing this, the special official looked over and indeed saw a pool of black blood. Only then did he completely put aside his doubts and exclaimed with great joy, "Excellent! Excellent! I will personally go and finish off this tiger. After all, I am a king of this region, and I should at least maintain some dignity."

Special Envoy slowly approached, carrying a mixed iron rod, his smile gradually replaced by a chilling killing intent.

But just as he was about five or six steps away from General Yin, Li Fa suddenly coughed softly.

It happened in the blink of an eye!

A tiger's roar suddenly echoed through the mountains!

General Yin, you've made your move!

His massive body, which had been limp as mud, suddenly tensed up!

The tiger's tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, and there was not a trace of weakness in those eyes, but only madness, hatred, anger and chilling killing intent!

"Die, Grandpa!"

General Yin roared and pulled out a large, ghost-headed scalpel from somewhere, then slashed at the neck of the Special Envoy!

"You thieving tiger! You're alright—!" Director Te was horrified. He never expected that the tiger, so badly injured, could still launch a sudden attack, let alone that the deadly sneak attack would come so abruptly and ruthlessly!

Could Lu Kunkun's cough have been a signal to attack?!

In the blink of an eye, he had no time to ponder the intricacies of the situation, for General Yin's blade was already upon him.

His survival instinct kicked in, and he instantly twisted and turned. Although he reacted quickly and avoided vital points, he was still too big and heavy to completely dodge the knife.

"laugh!"

The special officer's back was instantly ripped open with a large gash, and blood gushed out.

"You thieving tiger, you're asking for death!" Enraged, the Special Envoy turned around and swung his stick.

General Yin hurriedly raised his knife to parry, but he was seriously injured, and the blow from the Special Envoy was so powerful that it made his arm go numb.

At this moment, the demon soldiers who had been lying in ambush all around rushed out, and the two sides of monsters fought each other in a lively battle!

Li Fa took the opportunity to hide behind a stone pillar and observe the situation.

At this moment, the Special Envoy's eyes were filled with ruthlessness: "You thieving tiger, you are already seriously injured, why insist on holding on? Obediently hand over the Skinning Pavilion, and I might spare your corpse out of consideration for our past relationship!"

"Go to hell! You damned ox, you think you can take my legacy? Then pay with your life!" General Yin roared in fury. He knew he couldn't show weakness now, or he would be doomed.

"Stubborn fool!" Special Envoy snorted coldly and swung his stick again.

General Ke Yin was not about to be executed. He immediately swung his sword to strike.

What a fierce battle to the death!

All that can be seen is:

Knives come and clubs clash. The knife comes like a tiger descending the mountain, the club goes like a wild ox shaking the mountains.

One attacks with fury, each move a desperate gamble; the other launches a cunning and cunning attack.

The blade flashed coldly like snow, stirring up gusts of foul wind; the iron rod's shadow was as heavy as a mountain, churning up flying sand and stones.

Where the knife cleaved, the stone pillar shattered; when the stick swept, the rock wall groaned.

It was truly a battle between demon kings, each displaying their unique skills, until the cave trembled and the sun and moon lost their light!

They fought for eight or nine rounds, neither gaining the upper hand, but General Yin was suffering from internal injuries and was exhausted.

Seizing the opportunity, the special officer struck General Yin on the shoulder with a stick, shattering his bones and severing his tendons.

"Ah!" General Yin roared in pain, staggering back several steps.

His face was deathly pale and his breath was weak, clearly indicating that he was nearing his end.

"General Yin! Your days are numbered, why don't you surrender?!"

With his power secured, the special official laughed loudly, leaped forward, raised his iron cudgel high, and was about to end General Yin's life!
