Chapter 119 Lotus Cave: Demons and Monsters Send Mountains to Suppress the Heart Monkey
Meanwhile, the Silver Horned King, leading his little demons and carrying Pigsy, returned to the Lotus Cave amidst laughter and chatter.
Upon reaching the cave entrance, Silver Horn didn't announce his arrival but went straight into the inner hall, shouting loudly, "Big Brother! Big Brother! I've brought one over!"
Jinjiao and Fuhu were drinking in the hall when they heard this. They put down their wine cups, looked up, and saw the little demons carrying in a monk with a long snout and big ears. They frowned and said, "Brother, you've got the wrong one! This is Zhu Bajie, he's useless. His master, Tang Sanzang, is the real deal."
Pigsy, thrown to the ground, immediately struggled to his feet upon hearing this, crying out, "Your Majesty is absolutely right! This old pig is indeed useless, and his meat is sour. Let him out! He's not a human being!"
Silver Horn laughed and said, "Brother, don't let him go. Although he's useless, he's still with Tang Sanzang. Let's soak him in the clean water pool in the back, take off his fur coat, salt him, and dry him in the sun. We can have him with wine when it's cloudy."
Upon hearing this, Pigsy groaned, "What a disaster! I've had the worst luck in eight lifetimes to run into a monster who makes preserved meat. He's going to treat this old pig like cured meat!"
The little demons laughed and carried Pigsy inside, then threw him into the water—that's another story.
Jinjiao said, "Now that we have captured Zhu Bajie, Tang Sanzang must be nearby. We must go patrol the mountain again and not let him escape."
Silver Horn nodded and said, "Brother is right. I'll go again now."
After saying this, he summoned thirty to fifty lesser demons, each armed with a knife and spear, and they patrolled towards the front of the mountain.
Meanwhile, Tang Sanzang and his disciples had sent Pigsy to patrol the mountain, but he hadn't come back no matter how long they waited.
Tang Sanzang, on horseback, said impatiently, "Wukong, Bajie has been gone for half a day, why hasn't he returned yet? Could it be that we've really encountered a monster in this remote mountain wilderness?"
The pilgrim laughed and said, "Master doesn't understand his heart yet. If there were monsters ahead, he would have come back to report long ago; but since everything is safe, he has continued on his way."
Tang Sanzang said, "If he keeps going forward, where will we find him?"
The traveler said, "Master, don't be impatient. This fool is used to being lazy, so his pace will definitely be slow. Please mount your horse, and we'll follow the mountain path. I don't think he'll go far."
Tang Sanzang mounted his horse as instructed, Sha Wujing carried the load, and Wukong led the way. The three of them then slowly made their way up the mountain.
Meanwhile, the Silver Horned King, leading his minions, was traveling when he suddenly saw auspicious clouds drifting and swirling with propitious energy ahead. Overjoyed, he pointed and exclaimed, "Tang Sanzang is here!"
The demons asked, "How does Your Majesty recognize you?"
Silver Horn said, "You don't know, good people have auspicious clouds above their heads, while evil people have black clouds soaring to the sky. Tang Sanzang was originally the reincarnation of Elder Jin Chan, a good person who cultivated for ten lifetimes, so he has such ethereal clouds."
The demons followed his finger and saw a monk sitting on a horse beneath the clouds; it was none other than Tang Sanzang.
Just as Silver Horn was about to step forward, he suddenly saw a golden light flash in front of Tang Sanzang, and a monk with a hairy face and a thunder god's mouth held an iron rod, deflecting and sweeping to the left and right.
Silver Horn was taken aback and exclaimed, "What a splendid Sun Wukong! He truly lives up to his reputation!"
The demons said, "Your Majesty, what are you afraid of? There are many of us. Let's swarm him and capture that monkey too!"
Silver Horn shook his head and said, "You haven't seen his iron cudgel; it's as strong as ten thousand men. My cave only has four or five hundred soldiers; how can they withstand a single blow from him? This Tang Monk can only be dealt with with kindness, not with malice."
The demons asked, "What brilliant plan does Your Majesty have?"
Silver Horn said, "You may all leave now; I have my reasons."
The demons dispersed, and Silver Horn jumped down the mountain alone. By the roadside, he transformed into an old Taoist priest.
He was seen:
He wore a purple turban on his head, a black cloth robe, straw sandals on his feet, and a cane in his hand.
He was sallow and emaciated, with gray hair and beard, and blood was still flowing from his legs. He walked with a limp and looked extremely pitiful.
Alone and shakily, he walked towards Tang Sanzang.
Meanwhile, Tang Sanzang, relying on Sun Wukong and Sha Wujing, happily arrived. As they were walking, they suddenly saw an old Taoist priest staggering towards them, covered in blood, crying out, "Help! Help!"
Moved by compassion, Tang Sanzang quickly rose to greet him, pressing his palms together and asking, "Old Taoist priest, what's wrong?"
The old Taoist priest cried, "Elder, I am from a Taoist temple behind the mountain. Today, I went into the mountains to gather herbs, but I unexpectedly encountered a fierce tiger. It bit my leg, and I struggled for half a day before I escaped with my life. Please, Elder, have mercy and save me!"
When Tang Sanzang saw that the old Taoist priest's leg was torn open and bleeding profusely, he felt compassion and turned around to call out, "Wujing, come here quickly and carry this old Taoist priest for a while."
Sha Wujing emerged from the bushes, glanced at the old Taoist priest, and said, "Master, where did this Taoist priest come from in this desolate wilderness? Could he be a demon in disguise?"
Tang Sanzang said, "What are you talking about! Look at how badly he's injured, how could he be a monster? Quickly, carry him on your back!"
Sha Wujing had no choice but to step forward and bend down to carry him, but the old Taoist priest waved his hands repeatedly and said, "This elder has a fierce appearance, and I am afraid to ask him to carry me."
Tang Sanzang said, "In that case, Wukong, you carry it."
Sha Wujing laughed, "That clueless old Taoist! It's not good for me to carry him, but I've made him carry you upside down. If he can't see Master, he'll smash your tendons on the Three-Pointed Rock!"
The pilgrim, carrying the load, laughed and said, "You wicked demon, how dare you provoke me? You should ask me how old I am! You can only fool Tang Sanzang with your nonsense, and now you're trying to fool me too?"
Tang Sanzang had just mounted his horse when he heard this and cursed, "You impudent monkey! Saving a life is more meritorious than building a seven-story pagoda. You can carry his child, fine, but why are you talking like that!"
Upon hearing this, the traveler exclaimed, "What good fortune this fellow has! My master is a compassionate and benevolent man. If I didn't carry you, he would blame me. So be it!"
So he picked up Silver Horn, carried it on his back, and together with Tang Sanzang and Sha Wujing, set off westward along the main road.
Where the mountain is uneven, the traveler should walk slowly and carefully, letting Tang Sanzang go first.
After traveling only three or five miles, the master and Sha Wujing descended into a mountain hollow, but the Monkey King could no longer see them. He thought to himself, "Master's eyes are only human; he's making me carry this monster on such a long journey! I'd better just kill him; why carry him?"
Just as the Great Sage was plotting his attack, Silver Horn, who already knew about it, used a magic spell to move mountains and overturn seas. He made a hand seal on the back of the Monkey King and chanted a mantra, sending Mount Sumeru into the air to crush the Monkey King from above.
The Great Sage hurriedly tilted his head to the side, pressing it against his left shoulder and back, and laughed, "My child, what kind of weight-bearing technique are you using to press down on me? I'm not afraid of that, but it's easy to carry a load on one side, but hard to bear a load on the other."
Silver Horn thought to himself, "One mountain can't crush him!"
Then he chanted a spell and sent Mount Emei into the air to suppress it.
The traveler then tilted his head to the side and rested it on his right shoulder and back.
Even carrying two huge mountains on his shoulders, he moved as swiftly as a shooting star on flat ground!
Upon seeing this, Silver Horn was terrified, breaking out in a cold sweat and exclaiming, "He can carry mountains!"
In a panic, he chanted incantations again, wanting to use Mount Tai to suppress the practitioner.
But after reading for a long time, there was not a trace of Mount Tai!
Silver Horn suddenly remembered.
Mount Tai was taken away by Fu Hu in a cloth bag and has not been returned to this day!
He was so shocked that he panicked and didn't know what to do. Just then, the traveler carried two large mountains on his back to the cliff and threw him to the ground.
Caught off guard, Silver Horn was indeed thrown down.
Fortunately, he was quite skilled, and despite being thrown, he didn't die.
Having revealed its true form, it disregarded its injuries and fled back to Lotus Cave in a panic, scrambling and crawling.
