The Tushita Palace holds wondrous uses, and the Twenty-Eight Mansions are renewed once more.

Li Fa then pierced the yellow-robed monster with his spear. When he looked at the monster after putting down his spear, he saw that it had revealed its true form: a giant blue-haired wolf, dead on the ground.

Li Fa sighed and was about to turn around when suddenly a golden light flashed before his eyes, and the Merit Chart appeared in mid-air, displaying several lines of text:

[Target of Extermination: Yellow-Robed Monster (Kui Mulang)]

[Karma Assessment: Grade B, Upper]

[Slaughter successful]

Please select a reward:

[Optional Reward 1: Fifteen Jiazi of Mana from the "Creating Heaven and Earth Technique"]

[Optional Reward Two: Size As You Like (Can imitate the heavens and earth, and can also conceal its form)]

[Optional Reward 3: Foundation Evolution (once)]

After reading it, Li Fa pondered for a long time. That fifteen Jiazi of magical power was the result of nine hundred years of arduous cultivation. If he could obtain it, his cultivation would directly leap to a major realm. In the future, when encountering enemies, he could crush most of the demon kings with just his magical power.

The ability to control both size and shape was a supernatural power he had long coveted. It could transform into a form ten thousand feet tall, standing tall between heaven and earth; or it could shrink to the size of a mustard seed and hide among the grass.

When Sun Wukong wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace, he relied on this supernatural power to fight Erlang Shen to a standstill. If one learns this skill, one can move and transform at will in the future.

But as he looked at the words "foundational evolution," something suddenly came to mind.

Since his transmigration, although he has acquired indestructible invulnerability, the Five Elements Escape Technique, the Five Thunder Technique, and various other supernatural powers, these are all external things and not his own original nature.

His fundamental nature remains that of an ordinary person; his aptitude remains that of an ordinary person.

If one does not seize this opportunity to transform oneself today, even with a thousand spells and ten thousand supernatural powers in the future, one will ultimately fall into inferiority.

With that thought in mind, he steeled himself and said to himself, "I'll take this gamble!"

At that moment, I silently recited in my mind: "Choose three, fundamental evolution."

In an instant, he felt a jolt throughout his body, as if his soul and spirit had been pulled out from the top of his head, or as if his internal organs had been ripped out of his chest.

The pain was ten times worse than when I was struck by the Three Lights Divine Water!

He wanted to shout, but no sound came out; he wanted to move, but he couldn't move an inch.

Just when I was feeling really bad, I suddenly felt a lightness all over my body, as if a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders.

When he opened his eyes, he felt that the world before him was completely different.

The gourds on the alchemy racks, the flames in the alchemy furnace, the cobwebs in the corners of the walls, and the dust on the roof were all clearly visible. Even the rustling of the wind and the movement of the grass a hundred miles away could be heard clearly.

When he raised his hand to look at it, he saw that it was still the same hand as before, but he knew that it was no longer the same hand.

The innate human race.

Since Pangu separated heaven and earth and Nuwa created humankind, the human race was born in this form, unpolluted by acquired impurities and unclouded by reincarnation, naturally close to the Dao.

With each breath, a surge of vital energy flows into the body; with each thought, a faint rumble of thunder echoes in the ears.

This feeling was one of comfort he had never experienced since he transmigrated.

He couldn't help but let out a long howl to the sky.

This whistle made the gourds in the alchemy room rattle and the flames in the alchemy furnace flicker.

Just then, they heard someone laugh behind them: "What a primordial human!"

Li Fa turned around abruptly and saw an old Taoist priest standing at the entrance of the alchemy room.

What the hell!

Lao Tzu!

Why is this old man back?!

Li Fa was terrified, so much so that he lost two of his three souls and only one of his seven spirits remained. His legs went weak, and he almost sat down on the ground.

He had only one thought in his mind: It's over, it's over, I've really walked right into a trap!

Just as he was about to make a run for his life, he found that his legs seemed to be rooted to the spot, and he couldn't take another step.

Laozi ignored him and slowly walked into the alchemy room. He looked down at the dead wolf on the ground and said, "Yuanshi Tianzun invited me to Yuqing Palace to preach, but halfway through, Baihe Tongzi accidentally knocked over the incense burner and was severely punished with thirty strokes of the cane. I lost my mind to preach, so I returned early."

Then Laozi slowly turned around and laughed, "I just happened to find someone committing murder in my alchemy room. According to the law, what crime should they be charged with?"

Upon hearing this, Li Fa kowtowed and said, "I am unaware of the Heavenly Law, but I am subject to the Law of the Wheel of Heaven, and should be executed. However, I have something else to say, and I hope you will listen to me."

Laojun said, "Tell me yourself."

Li Fa said, "This demon has been on the run in the mortal realm for thirteen years. He kidnapped the princess of Baoxiang Kingdom, settled in Boyue Cave, and has eaten and harmed countless people. He has committed numerous evils. Today, I am eliminating him on behalf of Heaven."

Upon hearing this, Laozi laughed and said, "Indeed, you may rise."

Li Fa was taken aback upon hearing this and said, "Dao Ancestor, this..."

Laojun said, "Let's leave today's matter alone, but I have something to tell you."

Li Fa said, "The Dao Ancestor has given an order; how dare I disobey? But what is it?"

Lao Jun said, "It's not a difficult matter. My two attendants, Golden Horn and Silver Horn, were borrowed by the Bodhisattva of the South Sea, weren't they?"

The Bodhisattva sent them to the mortal realm to become demons, where they often harmed and killed living beings. If you kill them, you must preserve their true spirits; as for the rest, I have my own plans.”

Upon hearing this, Li Fa bowed and said, "I will obey the decree."

Before I could finish my prayers, I suddenly heard a commotion in the distance.

The two looked up and saw that in the direction of the South Heavenly Gate, auspicious clouds rolled in and golden light shone, and countless heavenly soldiers and generals could be vaguely seen rushing towards them.

Li Fa's heart tightened.

Laozi remained calm and simply said, "You should retreat to the back hall and not make a sound."

Li Fa quickly hid in the back hall.

Before long, a group of heavenly soldiers and generals landed in front of the Tushita Palace.

The one in the lead was none other than the Heavenly King of Growth, followed by dozens of heavenly generals.

The Heavenly King of Growth stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, "Lord Laozi, I have come to inquire about a matter on the orders of the Jade Emperor."

Laojun asked, "What is it?"

The Heavenly King of Growth said, "Just now, the Duty Officer of the South Heavenly Gate reported that he sensed a fluctuation of magical power in the direction of the Tushita Palace, as if someone was engaged in a magical battle. I was ordered to come and investigate. I wonder if there is anything unusual in Laozi's Palace?"

Laozi sighed and said, "You've come at the right time. I was just about to send someone to the Lingxiao Palace to report this."

The Heavenly King of Growth was taken aback: "What brings you here, Laozi?"

Laozi stepped aside, making way for the alchemy room behind him.

When the Heavenly King of Growth looked inside, his expression changed drastically.

The alchemy room was in complete disarray. The alchemy shelves were overturned, gourds were scattered all over the floor, and a corpse lay on the ground, dressed in a yellow robe, with a ferocious expression.

The Heavenly King of Growth exclaimed, "This...this is..."

Laozi asked, "Does the Heavenly King recognize this person?"

Upon closer inspection, the Heavenly King of Growth was even more horrified: "This...this is Kui Mulang! I heard he failed to show up for duty three times, and I was just looking for him, how...how did he die here?"

Laozi sighed, "This fiend fled to the mortal realm and wreaked havoc in the area. Now he has come to my Tushita Palace, intending to steal my Nine-Turn Immortal Pill. I had no choice but to take action and kill him."

Upon hearing this, the Heavenly King of Growth gasped in shock.

The Heavenly Court had long known about Kui Mulang's unauthorized descent to the mortal realm, but had never sent anyone to arrest him. Unexpectedly, he was so audacious as to dare steal the elixir from the Tushita Palace!

Laojun said, "I would trouble the Heavenly King to return and report to the Jade Emperor that Kui Mulang has been executed. As for his descent to the mortal realm as a demon, I know a little about it and will write a memorial to present to the Jade Emperor."

The Heavenly King of Growth nodded repeatedly, saying, "Rest assured, Lord Lao, this humble general will certainly report the truth!"

He looked at the corpse on the ground again and said, "Laojun, this corpse..."

Laojun said, "Let's leave it here for now and wait for the Jade Emperor's decree before we decide what to do."

King Zengzhang accepted the order and departed with his generals.
