Journey to the West: Black Six Ears

004. I, Little White Dragon, need your money!

004. I, Little White Dragon, need your money!

Meanwhile, Venus leaped into the sky.

"What happened to those three monsters? They've all vanished without a trace?"

After a quick calculation, Venus's face darkened.

The secrets of heaven were not concealed, but a momentary distortion occurred.

"It turns out that the one who caused all this trouble was that monkey's inner demon."

Venus frowned.

He knew about the Six-Eared Macaque.

Ever since Sun Wukong began his cultivation, his inner demons have been growing in tandem, and now they have been brought to life by the World Honored One.

If Sun Wukong wants to completely convert to Buddhism, he must get rid of his inner demons.

This Six-Eared Macaque is Wukong's inner demon.

A future tribulation awaits, known as the True and False Monkey Kings.

It is said that "two minds disturb the great universe, and one body cannot achieve true tranquility and annihilation."

This is a tribulation that Sun Wukong must overcome.

But how did this six-eared macaque end up here?

Another problem is with Tang Sanzang.

Although Venus's response was flawless, Tang Sanzang clearly had doubts.

It's probably not a good time to attack those two mortals again; we'll have to find another opportunity.

"I need to explain this clearly to Guanyin Bodhisattva."

Having said that, Venus made a single gesture with his hand, and a white crane spread its wings and took flight, heading straight for Mount Luojia.

The words are divided into two parts.

Sun Qiong, meanwhile, was soaring through the clouds, having a great time.

Following the clouds, Sun Qiong bypassed Liangjie Mountain and glanced at Tang Sanzang, who was moving slowly, and Sun Wukong, who was pressed down under the mountain and looked ashen-faced.

If he weren't the Six-Eared Macaque, Sun Qiong would definitely have gone up to meet Sun Wukong.

But now, Sun Qiong is very clear that sooner or later, there will be a real confrontation between him and Sun Wukong.

"It's all your fault."

Sun Qiong reached out and tapped the gold headband she was wearing.

When I first put them on, they were very uncomfortable, like a big fat boy was sitting on my head.

I've gotten used to it now, and apart from feeling a little uncomfortable thinking about it, I don't really feel anything.

"Let's go. Next, we'll go find Little White Dragon."

Snake Coil Mountain, Eagle Sorrow Stream.

Ao Yu, the third son of the West Sea Dragon King and the Jade Dragon Prince, spat out a mouthful of wine.

"Pah! What filthy stuff!"

The little white dragon slammed the stone cup in his hand heavily onto the local mountain god, and cursed loudly.

Ever since he set fire to the palace pearl in a fit of anger, he was punished by the Jade Emperor and only released after Guanyin Bodhisattva pleaded for him.

Along the way, the little white dragon suffered a lot, originally thinking that he could return to the Dragon Palace and continue to live a carefree life.

However, the matter turned out to be more complicated than it seemed.

At least Guanyin Bodhisattva pleaded for mercy because she had something for the White Dragon to do.

"Being a horse, being a horse, what kind of bird horse are you?"

The little white dragon kicked the ground angrily.

The local deity of Snake Coil Mountain immediately lowered his head, his lips trembling, as if he was about to blurt out something he couldn't hold back.

The mountain god grabbed the earth and slowly shook his head.

"Get out, all of you!"

The drunken little white dragon waved his hand and slumped onto the stone chair.

The mountain god and the local earth god quickly bowed and took their leave.

"Why is the mountain god blocking my way? His posture is nothing like that of someone assisting a pilgrim on his journey to the West!"

The land was furious, its face full of resentment.

He'd had enough of this humiliation these past few days, and he wanted to have the little white dragon find out who was really in charge of this Hundred-Mile Snake Coil Mountain.

Seeing that his anger was still not appeased, the mountain god quickly lowered his voice and hurriedly tried to dissuade him:

"Are you out of your mind? Do you remember who brought that little white dragon to this place that day?"

That day, the sky was bright and clear, and a Buddha's light came from the west.

The two witnessed Guanyin Bodhisattva pointing a flower at him, and the little white dragon bowed before the lotus seat and slowly fell into Eagle's Sorrow Gorge.

How could something I saw with my own eyes be wrong?

"Are we just going to let him bully us like this?"

The land is indignant.

The mountain god empathized, and simply sighed softly:

"Just endure it, what else can we do? Only when the pilgrim comes and leads him away will we be at peace."

"Pooh!"

Land spat fiercely at Eagle Sorrow Stream before turning and leaving.

But three or five days later...

A handsome monk, dressed in a beautiful robe, wearing a Vairocana hat, and holding a nine-ringed staff, stepped onto Snake Coil Mountain with a smile on his face.

It was already deep winter, and the north wind was howling, making it difficult for the monks to stand steadily.

Between the cliffs, the monk carefully treads the rugged path, step by step, toward Eagle's Sorrow Gorge.

After an unknown amount of time, the monk raised his head and seemed to hear the sound of tinkling water.

"Where is that sound of water coming from?"

Following the sound, we soon arrived at the stream.

The monk stopped to watch, and saw:

A gentle, cold current flows through the clouds, and the clear, deep waves reflect the red sunlight.

The sound of raindrops echoes through the secluded valley at night, while colorful clouds dazzle the cosmos at dawn.

A thousand-foot wave sprays like shattered jade, a pool of water roars like a gentle breeze.

The stream flows away into the vast expanse of misty waves, where gulls and egrets forget each other and no one catches a fish.

Looking closely, one could see water splashing in the ravine, and a dragon with a completely silvery-white body emerged.

Pushing the waves, it leaped out of the cliff.

The dragon didn't do anything special; it simply flew around the monk once, scattering raindrops, before transforming into a human and landing in front of him.

"Monk, are you from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East?"

"How did you know this humble monk's background?"

The monk was shocked and retreated repeatedly.

Seeing the monk's reaction, the White Dragon realized that he was almost certain of the truth.

His attitude immediately softened, and he quickly bowed to the monk:

"Holy Monk, please forgive me. I am Ao Run, the Third Prince of the Jade Dragon King. I have been waiting here for so long because of the Bodhisattva's grace in saving my life. I am only here to accompany the pilgrims on their journey to the West. You may call me Little White Dragon."

At this point, the white dragon looked around, his face showing confusion:

"Why are there no attendants around the holy monk?"

Upon hearing this, the monk looked listless, though he had a thousand words to say, he lowered his head and remained silent.

"Does the holy monk face many difficulties?"

The White Dragon was even more bewildered, not knowing what the pilgrims were up to.

Is this a fake product, and they're just making fun of me?

"Third Prince, you may not know this, but on this journey, I was originally accompanied by two attendants and a white horse. However, we encountered a vicious and arrogant monkey who ate the white horse without saying a word and insisted on becoming my eldest disciple and accompanying me on this pilgrimage..."

At this point, the monk sighed.

The little white dragon looked completely astonished.

Why is someone trying to steal my job when everything is fine?

The Horse Hunter, shouldn't it be me, Little White Dragon?

"Fortunately, my two followers took advantage of the night to send me away, which allowed me to escape from the monkey's clutches. I just wonder how they are doing now."

At this point, the monk quickly grabbed his staff and said to the white dragon:

"You are sent by the Bodhisattva, so you must possess some supernatural abilities. I wonder if you could help this humble monk eliminate evil?"

Upon hearing this, the little white dragon was overjoyed.

He knew very well that, according to Guanyin Bodhisattva, with the status of the Third Prince of the Jade Dragon, he could only serve as a laborer in this pilgrimage team.

If Tang Sanzang's troubles were resolved, and the pilgrims were willing to carry his little white dragon's plaque, would Tang Sanzang still have the nerve to treat himself as a horse?

But... could this monkey be some kind of powerful figure?

The White Dragon still had a slight hesitation in his heart. Although he was arrogant, he was not confident enough.

But the monk's next words made the White Dragon abandon his last bit of hesitation and make up his mind completely.

"If the monkey can be the eldest brother, why can't you, White Dragon, be the one?"

"Please, Master, rest well in my Eagle's Sorrow Gorge. If that monkey dares to come, I will make sure he never returns!"

The White Dragon felt a surge of heroic spirit, fantasizing about defeating the monkey the next day, and then entering the sacred mountain where the World-Honored One would personally bestow upon him the title of Great Strength King Bodhisattva.

Seeing the White Dragon's confidence, the monk clapped his hands and laughed:

"Very good, with the Third Prince's help, there's nothing to worry about."

At this moment, at the end of Snake Coil Mountain, a monkey summoned the mountain god and the local earth god.

"The mountain god and the land god have come to see me."

"I'm sorry to bother you."

The monkey bowed to the two gods.

The two gods exchanged a glance:

"Great Sage, you have been trapped for a long time, and I did not know when you would be released, so I was unable to receive you. Why have you come to this Snake Coil Mountain?"

"Do you two know that my master, who came from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East, was sent by the Buddha to the Western Paradise to obtain the scriptures? But the other day, when we went out to beg for alms, we were swept away by a demonic wind that was actually a great demon. I followed the trail and came to this mountain."

"this......"

The two gods immediately showed a look of hesitation.

As minor deities of this place, the two of them were well aware that no monster would want to come to this treacherous mountain and dangerous water.

The only one that Wukong could call a great demon was the white dragon in Eagle Sorrow Gorge.

But the white dragon was sent down to the mortal realm by the Bodhisattva, so why would it attack Tang Sanzang?

Could it be... that he wants to break away from Sun Wukong and go solo?

As soon as this thought arose, the two gods showed different expressions.

The mountain god hesitated, but the earth god shoved him aside and spoke rapidly:

"In the past, Guanyin Bodhisattva rescued a jade dragon while searching for a pilgrim. She sent him here and instructed him to wait for the pilgrim. She forbade him to do anything wrong, but only to come ashore and catch some birds, magpies, deer and roe deer when he was hungry."

"I don't know how he can be so ignorant. Today he captured the Holy Monk and even offended the Great Sage."

The Six-Eared Macaque chuckled:

"It's alright, it's alright. Now that it's confirmed, I've come here today for only one thing: to skin and dismember the little white dragon that kidnapped my master."
