Journey to the West: Black Six Ears

Joining the team on August 18, 2018, the Dragon Girl searches for the Monkey.

Joining the team on August 18, 2018, the Dragon Girl searches for the Monkey.

"Ouch! Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me!"

Pigsy collapsed to the ground, clutching his head and howling in pain.

Looking at the grinning monkey wielding an iron rod, Pigsy said angrily:

"You monkey, wasn't hitting me once enough? Do you have to hit me twice?"

"When did Old Sun hit you twice?"

Sun Wukong grabbed Zhu Ganglie's clothes and slapped the pig's head hard, making a crisp sound.

Zhu Ganglie hung his head in dejection, his face full of frustration.

The more triumphant they were when they first descended from the sky, the more pathetic they are now, being slammed to the ground.

He had made all the necessary preparations, even bringing his nine-toothed rake and leather armor, intending to capture the monk from the Tang Dynasty in one fell swoop, show him his power, and force him to divorce.

As it turned out, this hairy-faced, thunder-mouthed guy was surprisingly powerful; he was pinned to the mud by Zhu Bajie in just a few rounds.

Pigsy didn't reply, he just grunted.

"You were so arrogant just now, why are you so soft now?"

Wukong, with a mocking expression, brandished his golden cudgel and poked Zhu Ganglie a few times.

Pigsy lowered his head, feeling unbearably ashamed.

"Where did you come from, you scoundrel, causing such havoc here?"

Xuanzang also stepped forward and pointed at Zhu Ganglie, cursing loudly.

If this guy hadn't been causing trouble here, how could another Xuanzang have appeared out of nowhere?

Zhu Bajie, angered by Xuanzang's scolding, simply lay down on the ground.

"I heard everything, you old pig. Your so-called wedding is nothing but a trick to deceive me, old pig."

Xuanzang found this strange.

Now that you've heard it, the right choice is to either continue hiding or run away, right?

"Then why are you so persistent?"

"The marriage certificate, the matchmakers, the six witnesses, the tea, wine, and other gifts—how can that not be considered a marriage? How can master and apprentice be brothers-in-law?"

Zhu Ganglie's words immediately caused everyone present to look at each other in bewilderment.

What master, what disciple?

"What are you talking about? Where did this master and disciple come from?"

Xuanzang suddenly had a bad feeling.

What followed confirmed this premonition.

Pigsy threw a tantrum on the ground, but his tone became increasingly firm:

"Are you the monk from the Tang Dynasty who traveled to the Western Paradise to retrieve Buddhist scriptures?"

"Yes."

"Have you ever seen a Bodhisattva, or received guidance from one?"

"Yes."

"Do you take on apprentices along the way?"

"yes......"

After a series of exchanges, Tang Sanzang was drenched in cold sweat, while Zhu Bajie burst into tears:

"I, Old Pig, don't have many hobbies, except for one: I love to eat and another: I love beautiful women. Now that I've become your apprentice, I can't eat meat or drink wine anymore, and all that's left is that my beautiful woman has been taken away by you, Master."

Xuanzang was restless, his face flushed red.

As Zhu Ganglie said, although he didn't do it, it was done under his name and even received official recognition.

Unlike Zhu Bajie, who was a son-in-law without proper marriage rites, Xuanzang was a legitimate son-in-law.

"Fool! If you become a monk, you can't eat or do anything, so what hobbies will you have left?"

Sun Wukong grabbed Zhu Ganglie by the ear, lifted him up, and cursed.

When Grandpa Gao heard the three talking, his heart skipped a beat, and a strange look appeared on his face.

How did the pig son-in-law suddenly become the disciple of Master Xuanzang?

In a flash, Old Man Gao came up with a brilliant idea:

"This is easy to handle; Elder Tang can simply return to secular life."

Upon hearing this, everyone present fell silent, even the wailing Pigsy stopped.

Instead, the two Servants broke the silence:

"Old man, you jest. This is just a charade, how could it be real? Besides, Master Xuanzang was ordered by our Tang Emperor to go to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures; how could he abandon his mission halfway?"

Once the name of the Great Tang Dynasty was mentioned, Gao Taigong immediately backed down.

He couldn't afford to offend such an important figure, so he could only manage an awkward laugh.

"Zhu Ganglie, since that's the case, you should go with Elder Xuanzang."

After saying this, Gao Taigong took the red lacquered plate from Gao Cai, took out two hundred taels of loose gold and silver, and presented them to Xuanzang. He also gave him three cotton robes as a cover.

Xuanzang was in a daze and did not take over, but his attendants stepped forward and accepted everything.

Under such circumstances, how can you just take on an apprentice without any clear understanding?

"I was originally encouraged to do good by Guanyin Bodhisattva. I received her precepts and was taught to go to the Western Paradise with the pilgrim to worship Buddha and seek scriptures, and I also attained enlightenment."

Seeing Xuanzang's hesitation, Zhu Bajie mumbled out his experience.

Only now did everyone realize that this pig-faced monster was actually Marshal Tianpeng, the leader of the Four Saints of the North Pole who commanded the Heavenly River Navy in the past!

"Since you have followed my good deeds and wish to become my disciple, I will give you a Dharma name so that you can call me morning and night."

Since it was said by Guanyin Bodhisattva, the matter is settled.

Xuanzang had no choice but to accept it.

Pigsy waved his hand, still annoyed:

"I dare not trouble you, Master. The Bodhisattva has bestowed upon me a Dharma name, Zhu Wuneng."

The pig gave him a disapproving look, so Tang Sanzang reluctantly gave him the nickname "Pigsy".

Sun Wukong stood to the side, hands folded, watching with a grin.

"Father-in-law, can't this marriage be canceled?"

Xuanzang knew Zhu Ganglie's dissatisfaction, so he turned to Gao Taigong and asked.

Old Master Gao shook his head firmly: "This is just an engagement. What's more, if the engagement is canceled, how will the Gao family's reputation be preserved? My daughter will probably have no choice but to die to prove her innocence."

That's incredibly shameless.

Those present had witnessed firsthand how Gao Jia Cuilan had been tormented by Zhu Ganglie.

"In that case, we'll wait until I return from my pilgrimage to the West, and then we'll make a decision."

Xuanzang looked awkwardly at Zhu Bajie, caught in a dilemma.

Although Zhu Bajie was dissatisfied, he knew that Xuanzang was not to blame, so he stood up and took the initiative to pick up the luggage.

The elder looked at the crowd and sighed inwardly:

"Bodhisattva, why have you assigned me such a disciple?"

Amidst cheers and farewells, Xuanzang and his four companions, sighing and lamenting, embarked on their westward journey once more.

All of this was naturally observed by Sun Qiong, who was standing on a distant mountaintop.

Pigsy could never be a match for Monkey; if they were to meet face to face, Pigsy would inevitably be defeated.

He did not change the fact that Pigsy would join the pilgrimage team in the same way he changed the future of the White Dragon.

The reason is quite simple: unlike the White Dragon Horse, Pigsy was undoubtedly the first person in the Journey to the West team to back down.

With him in the team, the team will definitely be in chaos.

Not to mention the current Pigsy, who has a grudge against Tang Sanzang for stealing his wife and a grudge against Sun Wukong for being beaten.

Nowadays, the pilgrimage team is growing larger and larger, and their hearts are becoming more and more numerous.

Tang Sanzang, who harbors doubts; the unruly monkey; Zhu Bajie, who harbors resentment; and two followers who will most likely perish along the way.

Can such a team really reach the Western Paradise?

"The storyline mission has also changed this time."

The storyline of recruiting Bajie at Gao Village was not significantly disrupted, but it sowed the seeds for a major future problem.

When the time is right, this pit may be able to unleash unimaginable destructive power.

Sun Qiong turned and was about to leave.

It's quite a distance from here to Huangfeng Ridge. Even if Tang Sanzang gets the food, clothing, supplies, and horses, it will still take the five-person team a month or so to reach Huangfeng Ridge.

During this period, Sun Qiong was able to have some free time to devote to cultivation.

Sun Qiong and Wukong fought once at Guanyin Temple.

Just thinking about the feeling of the Ruyi Jingu Bang hitting my body still makes half of my body ache.

Although the Eight-Nine Arcane Arts have reached the refinement stage, his current strength is still lacking. When he reaches the stage of refining the spirit, he should be able to fight Sun Wukong with all his might.

The most crucial element wasn't Wukong, but the deity who orchestrated this journey to the West.

With her mind racing, Sun Qiong turned her gaze to a distant mountain peak.

At this moment, on Mount Luojia, Guanyin Bodhisattva, seated on a lotus throne, slowly opened her eyes and turned to look at the dragon girl beside her who was meditating peacefully:

"Dragon Girl, I have something I need you to do."

"Please speak, Bodhisattva, the Dragon Girl will do her utmost."

The dragon girl stood up and bowed respectfully.

The Bodhisattva calculated with his fingers, a strange glint flashing between his brows, which he quickly smoothed away:

"The Dragon Girl descended to the mortal realm and went to Mount Futu. She intercepted a monkey demon and told him that he should no longer arbitrarily alter cause and effect. If he calmly cultivated himself and reformed his ways, he might be able to attain immortality in the future."

"The Dragon Girl obeys."

The dragon girl bowed, and when she looked up again, she had vanished.
