Chapter 2672 Enlightenment
"Sure enough!"
After a long while, Qin Sang pulled herself out of her thoughts, her mind in turmoil.
As he expected, after accepting the vow of the Holy Monk Lei Hai and having the Buddha's intent enter his body, his cultivation level did not increase in the slightest.
The purpose of this vow is not to improve the cultivation level of the person who makes the vow.
The Buddha's teachings are boundless. Qin Sang knew very little about Buddhism and did not know what kind of extraordinary Dharma the Holy Monk Lei Hai had left in the relics. However, after his recent experience, he could roughly understand it.
Only two words—enlightenment!
In Buddhism, there is a concept called "innate wisdom," which originally meant that Buddhists who become monks in this life possess the wisdom gained from their faith in Buddhism in their previous lives. Later, in the world of cultivation and immortality, this concept was extended, and some people refer to those who are naturally intelligent and have excellent comprehension as people who possess innate wisdom.
In the small worlds like the Storm Realm, cultivation resources are scarce, and immortal sects use spiritual roots to measure talent. However, in the great worlds, powerful sects do not lack cultivation resources and value comprehension the most!
Even those with five elemental spiritual roots can have their cultivation speed forcibly increased with the support of their sect.
The higher one's cultivation level, the less influence one's spiritual root has, or rather, there are always various ways to compensate for it. However, comprehension is the most difficult to improve. It is hard to rely on external forces and requires various trials, coupled with unwavering willpower.
A cultivator with high comprehension can grasp the essence of any cultivation technique or secret art at a glance and quickly break through bottlenecks. Conversely, a less perceptive cultivator will spend several times, or even more, the time to comprehend techniques and break through realms.
As long as one undertakes this vow, even those who are naturally dull-witted will have their mental dust swept away, becoming clear-headed, with greatly increased wisdom, and leaping into the realm of cultivation genius.
Qin Sang could sense the changes in his own spiritual intelligence, but simply enhancing his spiritual intelligence wouldn't actually be that helpful to him.
How could anyone be dull-witted enough to cultivate to the level of Integration?
Even if his initial comprehension was not as good as others, as he traveled through various realms and experienced countless trials and tribulations, he would still have made progress.
The most precious aspect of this vow is that it is the 'enlightenment' at the level of the Great Dao, the realization of one's true nature!
If the one who receives the wish is a Void Refinement cultivator, the difficulty of breaking through to the Integration Realm will be reduced by at least 30%, and Qin Sang, as an Integration Realm cultivator, feels this even more clearly.
If Qin Sang is likened to a ship sailing on a long river, then the vow is like adding a sail and a telescope to that ship!
With the reefs and treacherous shoals ahead in full view, and a strong wind filling the sails, how could the boat not be fast?
Therefore, even though Qin Sang is not a Buddhist practitioner, the power of this vow will not be diminished in the slightest.
When Qin Sang turned his attention back to the "Purple Star Sword Scripture," he immediately felt that it was very different from before. The surging killing intent was easily restrained, and the Wandering Sword and the Killing Sword resonated with his killing intent. When he went to temper the killing sword again, he no longer felt the stagnation he had just experienced.
Looking at the contents of the "Purple Star Sword Scripture" again, the previous fog seems to have thinned out, and some doubts have been resolved.
Qin Sang discovered that one of his previous guesses was getting closer and closer to the truth.
At the Integration Realm, the Ziwei Sword Scripture may not have a distinction between Mahayana and Hinayana, or it may combine both Mahayana and Hinayana. No matter which path he chose back then, he was able to cultivate the Ziwei Sword Scripture!
Of course, this does not mean that the Purple Star Sword Master combined the Lesser Vehicle Killing Path and the Greater Vehicle Killing Path at the same time. Perhaps the Purple Star Sword Master was exceptionally talented, and even if he took one path, he could see the other path very clearly. Thus, he left two paths for his descendants in terms of inheritance.
In fact, none of that mattered anymore; it only allowed him to cultivate the *Ziwei Sword Scripture* with complete peace of mind. Regardless, Qin Sang would no longer waver. From the moment he resolutely took that step, he had already broken through the shadows of his predecessors. Even if his path differed from that of the Ziwei Sword Master, he would resolutely walk his own path.
"Killing intent..."
Qin Sang slowly uttered two words.
As the essence of the "Purple Star Sword Scripture" became clearer, some of the previously scattered thoughts began to take shape. Connecting these threads made Qin Sang's path of cultivation clearer.
He wanted to unleash a massacre, immersing himself in the killing, essentially to gather and comprehend the killing intent—my own killing intent, the enemy's killing intent, the killing intent of others, the killing intent of the earth, and even the killing intent of heaven!
A constant stream of killing intent surged in, amplifying the murderous intent and forging the killing sword.
The Cloud Wandering Sword is formed from the killing intent of the earth, hence the name Earth Killing Sword for the Purple Emperor Sword. After breaking through the Integration Stage, the killing intent of humans gathers and transforms into a sword, becoming the Sword of Human Killing.
Does this mean that the Heavenly Killing Sword still exists?
The Way of Heaven is formless and omnipresent. No matter what kind of killing intent there is, it is mixed with the killing intent of Heaven. So, the purpose of entering the killing, absorbing the killing intent, and cultivating the Way of Killing may be to comprehend the killing intent of Heaven from it, and finally comprehend the last killing sword - the Heavenly Killing Sword!
However, when will one be able to achieve this, whether it be the mid-stage of the Fusion Realm, the late-stage of the Fusion Realm, or the Great Ascension Realm? And after comprehending the Heavenly Slaughter Sword, how will it be used when opening up a grotto-heaven?
It's normal to have these questions. Qin Sang has only been in the Integration Stage for a little over a hundred years. He was previously entangled in trivial matters and has only just begun to comprehend it. It is already quite remarkable that he has reached this level of understanding. Naturally, he should thank the Holy Monk Lei Hai.
Besides that, all sorts of other ideas kept popping into Qin Sang's mind.
Killing is merely a choice made by his Dharma body. Although he has decided to focus on cultivating the "Purple Star Sword Scripture," he also places great hopes on the Yang God and his self-created "Red Lotus Calamity Scripture," and will not give up on them.
Now that there is no reference cultivation method, Qin Sang has to cultivate and deduce the "Red Lotus Calamity Scripture" at the same time. This path is actually more difficult than the Dharma Body. In addition, before finding a powerful spiritual fire similar to the Qilin's origin, he can forget about making significant progress in a short period of time.
That's why Qin Sang wanted to keep that Nine Nether Demoness. Besides wanting to use the Nine Nether Demon Clan to cover up his background, he also had designs on the Nine Nether Demon Fire of the Nine Nether Demon Clan and hoped to find an opportunity to infiltrate the Nine Nether Abyss and refine the Nine Nether Demon Fire.
So, if this path is exceptionally difficult, should we just go down it to the bitter end?
Don't forget, he has the Jade Buddha protecting him, and his Yang Spirit can do more than just combine with the Fire Path.
Since we were able to create a technique like the "Red Lotus Calamity Scripture" that can devour all kinds of fire, could we also use this technique to create a technique that can devour all kinds of water?
Inside the small grotto, there lies a purple pool. The water of the purple pool comes from Master Lu, who once held the position of Minister of Water.
If one could refine the water of the Purple Pool, the benefits would be no less than those of the Qilin Origin, and might even be greater. It should be noted that the Qilin Origin is merely the purest power sealed by the Qilin, while the Purple Lake possesses far more mystical power.
Having the Yang Spirit cultivate both water and fire may seem contradictory, but it is not necessarily in conflict.
This brings us back to the "Suwen Jing" and the Yin-Yang Dao that he had always coveted but never had the opportunity to cultivate, just as he had realized when he comprehended the dual domains—Yin-Yang is fundamental!
Using the principles of water and fire to reverse Yin and Yang!
When unleashing the dual domains, Qin Sang uses the Nine Netherworld Demon Fire as Yin Fire and the Qilin Fire as Yang Fire, both of which are ultimately fire. If he could use water as the moon and fire as the sun, the power would undoubtedly be even greater.
In his dream, Qin Sang comprehended the great Dao of Yin and Yang, starting with the "Theory of Regulating the Spirit with the Four Qi," and grasped the way of water and fire complementing each other. He had already achieved considerable skill, and now he was trying to continue his deductions, believing that it should work.
The problem is, where can we obtain another water-based cultivation technique that corresponds to the "Red Lotus Calamity Scripture"?
If Qin Sang were given enough time, with the "Suwen Jing" to unify Yin and Yang, the black and white chess pieces to assist him, and the "Honglian Jie Jing" as a reference, he might very well be able to deduce a cultivation method.
However, this would mean he would have to comprehend two different techniques simultaneously, and even if he eventually succeeded in refining the water of the Purple Pool, it was uncertain whether it would compensate for the time and effort he had expended.
Qin Sang had had a vague idea before, but firstly, she was too busy to handle it all, and secondly, there would be countless difficulties in the process.
Now that Qin Sang has received the help of the vow, he is finding it much easier to deduce the Great Dao and the Path than before, and it is worth a try.
"Yin and Yang are fundamental, Yin and Yang are fundamental..."
Qin Sang murmured to herself.
If one can successfully unify water and fire with yin and yang, then can one also incorporate the Lesser Vehicle of Killing, and then further unify essence, energy and spirit with the Great Dao of yin and yang?
In this way, one's Dharma body, Dharma form, and Yang spirit will no longer be a disorganized mess. This is an even greater achievement than dual or triple Dharma domains!
From the beginning of his spiritual practice, he has been practicing whatever he encounters, daring to learn and use anything. To put it nicely, he has a wide range of interests; to put it bluntly, he is disorganized. Undeniably, this has become one of his major characteristics.
Even now, after breaking through the Integration Stage, it has not been abandoned.
The higher one's cultivation level, the greater the role that the black and white chess pieces play. Qin Sang increasingly felt that the Dao of Yin and Yang encompassed everything.
"Taking Yin and Yang as the guiding principles, forging a path that belongs only to oneself..."
Qin Sang seemed to have a clearer understanding of his future, but he also clearly realized that it would be more difficult than any other path.
Right now, this is just a thought; even the Water Element Technique is still a pipe dream. He can't figure out how to unify the Yin-Yang Great Dao with the Lesser Vehicle Killing Dao, let alone the "Heavenly Demon Refining Form," which the Vermilion Bird calls a miraculous technique of all time.
"Indeed, the task is arduous and the road ahead is long!" Qin Sang sighed inwardly, putting aside all other thoughts and returning to the vow itself.
"The Vajra has been reforged, and the Nine Pagodas have returned to the forest."
The Dharma is transmitted to both realms, and one can attain Nirvana!
The content of the vow was largely the same as Qin Sang's previous speculation. Since she had already made the vow, she would definitely do her best to fulfill it. Otherwise, no matter how carefree she was now, she would suffer greatly in the future if she were bound by the vow.
However, what is urgent now is to improve his strength, so Qin Sang can only put his vow aside for the time being.
Besides enlightenment, Qin Sang also gleaned some other insights from it.
Although there is no inheritance of the Nine Great Seals of Light, it contains a kind of guidance, guiding Qin Sang to comprehend the Buddhist seal.
This confirms Qin Sang's earlier judgment: comprehending the nine Buddhist seals is merely the foundation for cultivating the Nine Great Light Seals. The nine Buddhist seals are interconnected; only by continuing to refine one's understanding after comprehending the nine seals, and thereby comprehending the mysteries hidden within them, can one achieve a complete lineage!
Previously, Qin Sang only used the Vajra Wheel Seal and other mudras as combat techniques against enemies, and had no time to study Buddhism. Therefore, although he had some guesses, he did not make any progress in this area.
Guided by the vow, Qin Sang can view the Nine Great Light Seals from a completely new perspective. Unfortunately, the Dharma Form cannot change the cultivation method, and the Buddha Seals are incomplete. Now he can only rely on the Sun Wheel Seal to comprehend it through his Dharma Body.
After an unknown amount of time, Qin Sang's eyes flickered slightly, as if she had made a discovery.
He did gain some understanding from the Buddhist seals he had already obtained, but unfortunately there was still a layer between the Dharma body and the Dharma form. So Qin Sang made a choice, hoping to find a way to improve the Wisdom Fist Seal.
Now, the Wisdom Fist Seal is his most relied-upon escape technique, and it also has the ability to 'aware of danger and avoid it,' which is undoubtedly crucial in this land surrounded by demons.
He took a step out into the air.
Qin Sang's figure blurred, leaving a phantom image in place. Then, more and more phantom images appeared, and in an instant, thousands upon thousands of Qin Sangs appeared.
Of course, he sealed off the surrounding area with a forbidden array, otherwise it would have definitely attracted the siege of the Heavenly Demons.
As the old phantoms vanished, new ones appeared. Before long, Qin Sang's speed seemed to slow down, and the speed at which the phantoms appeared gradually couldn't keep up with their disappearance, until finally only one remained.
Qin Sang appeared beside the illusory figure, stepped into its body, and merged with it, letting out a soft sigh of relief.
In a short period of time, the Wisdom Fist Seal has greatly improved and is now absolutely able to defeat the Demon Lord Luo Luo's escape techniques!
Just then, Qin Sang sensed a fluctuation, wiped away the aura scattered around her, and turned to look, seeing Luo Luo Demon Lord walk out of the cave.
"How is it?" Qin Sang asked with concern.
“I have refined that pill, and my injuries will not continue to worsen. After taking a few more spirit pills, I will gradually recover,” Demon Lord Luo Luo looked around. “Because I have already wasted a lot of time, let’s continue on our way! Next, I will find a place to set up an array and try to calculate our current location.”
The two immediately continued their flight south.
Despite seeing no signs of pursuers, they remained vigilant.
Qin Sang sighed, "Are we going to live like this, in constant fear? No matter whether the Demon Lord of the Destroyer can pinpoint our location, we can't just sit here and wait to die. We must find a way to eliminate this threat!"
After the spider demon worm dies, it will definitely attract an even stronger demon worm.
The two of them together can deal with demonic insects in the mid-stage of the Fusion Realm, but if they attract demonic insects in the late stage of the Fusion Realm, they will have no choice but to flee.
"What you say is true, fellow Daoist. I do have an idea..."
Luo Luo Demon Lord's eyes flashed.
……
In the vast and boundless demon realm, after traveling an unknown distance, the two stopped their escape techniques and descended from the sky.
Looking down at the scene below, Demon Lord Luo Luo nodded slightly, "Let's do it here."
Having said that, Demon Lord Luo Luo leaped down.
Countless demons gathered below. He weaved through the demonic shadows, then stopped after a moment and quietly opened his domain.
As if an invisible barrier, the Demon Lord Luo Luo appeared inside the barrier, completely unaware of the surrounding demons.
Immediately afterwards, beams of light flew out from his sleeves, enveloping various precious materials, a dazzling array.
Then these precious materials were refined into array artifacts, and the Demon Lord Luo Luo began to set up the array.
Qin Sang was busy on the other side, and Luo Luo Demon Lord had already told him the function of this formation.
On the front lines of the demonic tide, there is a divine mountain in the demonic realm called Thousand Autumns Peak, which has been transformed into a 'lighthouse' by the demonic realm.
In the great battle against the Heavenly Demons, the battlefield is ever-changing, and some cultivators will inevitably be swept up in the demonic tide. If they survive after falling into the demonic realm, as long as they sense Thousand Autumn Peak, they can be guided in the right direction, and if they are lucky, they may be rescued.
The Demon Lord Luo Luo is about to set up an array to sense Thousand Autumn Peak!
