He had originally harbored some suspicion, but now his worries had completely vanished.
Nothing was more important than life-saving food.
The transaction went very smoothly. Nina Jacobs hadn’t expected Mordecai Quinn’s personal space alone to hold so many Crystal Cores and so much Gold.

But just as Claire Warner was preparing to leave, she noticed that a crowd had gathered downstairs.
They didn’t look like the people from last night.
"Don’t worry," Mordecai Quinn explained when he saw Claire Warner frown. "I didn’t call them. They came on their own."
Those were all people Mr. Quinn had saved in the past.
"I’ll take you out through the back door."
Mordecai Quinn remembered what Nina Jacobs had said: Claire Warner only liked confidential transactions.
Nina Jacobs also wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
Their transaction had already been going on for over four hours.
Besides, Wayne Warner was still waiting for her in the base’s parking lot.
At this moment, Wayne Warner was already surrounded by a crowd.
Nina Jacobs had originally told him to wait in the car.

Seeing this, Eleanor Ziegler was even more pleased.
"From now on, you’ll follow me and be my attendant," she said, walking up to Wayne Warner. "I guarantee you’ll never have to worry about food or drink."
But Wayne Warner simply turned and walked away.
"Is this guy an idiot?"
"I think he’s a mute."
"If you follow Miss Ziegler, you get food and drink. You might even get recruited by Master Ziegler. Then you’d never have to worry about starving to death again," the people in the crowd murmured among themselves.
"What’s wrong with you?"
Seeing that Wayne Warner was ignoring her, Eleanor Ziegler waved her hand, and two burly men at her side immediately blocked his path.
"Miss Ziegler is talking to you. Are you deaf?"
One of the burly men in a black tank top threw a punch at Wayne Warner.

Nina Jacobs had been worrying about how to make contact with the Ziegler Family, and now an opportunity had just fallen into her lap.

Nina Jacobs looked at Eleanor Ziegler inside the cage of flames, a provocative smile on her face.
